SUMMARY: Responsible for ensuring vessels are crewed, operated and maintained in accordance with regulatory requirements, company standards, and customer expectations. Responsible for budget, invoice approval, and financial analysis.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Qualifications
EDUCATION: High school or equivalent diploma required. Bachelor's degree from a Maritime Academy. At least 5 years in the maritime industry may substitute for degree.
EXPERIENCE: 3 or more years as a sailing officer or academy graduate with 1-year sailing experience, or equivalent military experience.
TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
COMPETENCIES: Ability to apply skill sets and demonstrate proven experience developing, improving and streamlining processes to meet established goals and objectives. Ability to effectively manage projects that may vary in nature and scope.
OTHER: USCG licensed preferred and able to travel to multiple locations with extended stays away from the home port may be required.
JOB SCOPE: Position impacts a single business unit/segment.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Works both inside an office environment and outside in conditions of both high and low temperatures. May be exposed to odors, dust, dirt, mechanical hazards, high noise levels, and potentially dangerous equipment. Must be able to crouch and stoop to get into areas with restricted headroom and be able to climb ladders. May require extended use of computer keyboard, viewing of computer monitor and ability to sit for long periods of time.
