Harvest: Quyurciq is a documentary short film about the sustainable harvest of sea otters by Alaska Natives. The film’s profile was elevated via media coverage in prominent outlets like the New York Times, and has been very well received at film festivals, universities, and museums throughout the world.

Native Peoples Action is now providing a grant to pair the film with a one-day curriculum about Native subsistence practices, which will be distributed for free to middle and high school teachers throughout the United States. The film will simultaneously be distributed to universities, museums and environmental/outdoor science centers as well. The project requires the assistance of a graphic designer, a position which would consist of the following core responsibilities:

• Develop and execute design elements of the curriculum, including both a digital platform and materials for print

• Design materials for the project’s social media channels

Pay will be competitive and negotiable.
