SUMMARY
Under the direction of the General Manager, Goldbelt Transportation LLC, is responsible for operating a 40’ passenger bus, providing transportation for Kensington Mine Workers, ensuring passenger safety and satisfaction.
JOB DUTIES
Complies at all times with safety and traffic regulations and requirements while driving the bus.
Assists with loading and unloading of passengers and freight
Performs safety checks on vehicle
Performs minor maintenance and cleaning of vehicle including cleaning, window washing, lubrication, oil and tire pressure checks, and minor mechanical repairs.
Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
NECESSARY SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Ability to safely drive a passenger bus in all types of weather, road conditions, and in darkness
Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving
Ability to perform minor maintenance on the bus
Ability to lift 50 lbs
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to handle emergency or stressful situations in a calm manner
Ability to work independently
Ability to install tire chains
Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED
Forty-foot passenger bus, mobile radio, telephone, and hand tools used in the maintenance of vehicles.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (education and experience)
High school diploma or equivalent; AND
At least 19 years of age and have held a driver’s license for at least one year; AND
Current Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) (Class B) with passenger and air brake endorsements; AND
Possess a medical certificate for CDL drivers; AND
Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug test
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (education and experience)

Smoking is not allowed on the bus.
