What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead, mentor, and support Community Directors and Assistant Community Directors.
  • Conduct property visits and inspections to ensure operational excellence and compliance.
  • Assist with onboarding, training, and professional development of team members.
  • Support resident relations and help resolve complex resident concerns.
  • Monitor financial performance, rent collections, and budget objectives.
  • Collaborate with Housing Services, Resident Services, Maintenance, and Legal Counsel to ensure efficient operations.
  • Review monthly financial reports, rent rolls, and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with CIHA policies, NAHASDA regulations, LIHTC requirements, HUD guidelines, and applicable landlord-tenant laws.
  • Support resident engagement initiatives that promote community well-being and stability.\

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong leadership and coaching skills.
  • Advanced customer service and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Experience working with property management software such as MRI or similar systems.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of LIHTC, NAHASDA, HUD regulations, and landlord-tenant laws.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

The Basics

  • Associate degree in Business Administration or a related field, or an Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) designation; qualifying experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
  • Four (4) years of progressively responsible property management and regulatory compliance experience.
  • Two (2) years of direct experience with Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) properties.
  • Supervisory experience in property management or a similar operational environment.
  • Valid driver's license.

Certifications

Ability to obtain and maintain:

  • Certified Credit Compliance Professional (C3P)
  • National Standards for the Physical Inspection of Real Estate (NSPIRE) certification
