The Alaska Center for Rural Health and Health Workforce is looking for an Accreditation Coordinator to join our team and help us maintain high standards of education for the state's healthcare professionals. The Accreditation Coordinator will provide day-to-day program and administrative support in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of Continuing Education (CE) activities. In this role, the Accreditation Coordinator will document, review, and organize activity information, manage activity communications, and coordinate logistics. The Accreditation Coordinator will also work closely with activity planners and speakers to ensure compliance with Joint Accreditation standards and other applicable regulatory guidelines. Key responsibilities include managing program data systems, evaluating training effectiveness, monitoring fiscal resources, and providing high-level operational support to elevate healthcare education across Alaska.

 

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented professional who enjoys coordinating complex projects, building relationships, and supporting high-quality educational programs. The ideal candidate has at least three years of experience in healthcare, training and education, public service, credentialing, compliance, or a related field and is comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

 

Successful candidates will be strong communicators who can work both independently and collaboratively, stay organized while balancing competing deadlines, and approach challenges with flexibility and a solution-focused mindset. They should be comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite and web-based applications and have experience coordinating projects, tracking deliverables, and ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time.

 

Candidates with knowledge of Joint Accreditation standards and continuing education requirements are especially encouraged to apply. Experience working in an academic or healthcare setting, providing customer service, or supporting stakeholders and external partners is highly valued. An interest in healthcare workforce development, continuing education, and lifelong learning will help candidates thrive in this role.

 

This position operates in a hybrid office environment and includes standard computer-based work, occasional event and meeting support, and periodic lifting of materials related to program activities.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

Three years college coursework and three years progressively responsible experience related to the program specialty, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

 

Position Details:

 

This is a full-time, term-funded, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and https://www.alaska.edu/hr/benefits/support/prospectiveemployees.php. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage.
