The Signers' Business Office (SBO) at the University of Alaska Fairbanks is a growing business office that serves a diverse range of units across the UAF campus and throughout the State of Alaska. We support more than 40 units that provide student services, public service, research, and instruction. Our team is committed to delivering exceptional customer service in areas such as human resources, procurement, budget management, and grant administration. We are currently recruiting for a Fiscal Technician 3 to assist with processing purchase requests, performing reconciliations, and supporting Fiscal Officers with fund management for the units served by the SBO. We invite applicants with strong knowledge of purchasing and fiscal policies and procedures to apply for this exciting opportunity. Successful candidates will possess excellent communication and multitasking skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, deadline-driven environment.

 

The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in finance and purchasing. They should be driven to perform at their peak consistently and provide the best service. They will be a team player with a desire to continually grow and learn throughout their career. The ideal candidate typically has at least 2 years of experience in a finance-related role. Ideally, the candidate would have impeccable customer service and interpersonal communication skills.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

One year of college coursework in Accounting or related field and two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience in accounting, statistics or related field and 6 months professional fiscal experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience

 

Position Details:

 

This is a full-time, term-funded, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and https://www.alaska.edu/hr/benefits/support/prospectiveemployees.php. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the https://www.alaska.edu/hr/benefits/compensation/salary.php, Grade 77, based on education and experience.
