Eskimos Sales & Service Coordinator

The primary function of this position is to act as a customer facing team member within the Fleet Management Services Division to serve as a point of contact for issues related to sales, orders, shipment, and other related issues. The Sales & Service Coordinator also assists management with inventory as well as scheduling and coordinating the work of other mechanics and laborers. This position will also provide guidance on or perform light duty general and preventative maintenance, certain repairs and rebuild work for automotive vehicles.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (and other duties as assigned)

  1. Assistswithallaspectsoftheserviceandpartsdepartmentswhilecontributingtoanefficient team approach to ensure a high degree of customer satisfaction.

  2. Screensincomingcallsandcorrespondenceandrespondsindependentlywhenpossible;seeks guidance from management where appropriate.

  3. Servesascustodianofdocumentsandrecords.Filesdocumentsandrecordsaccordingto

  4. Createsrepairordersandothersimilarrecordstodocument diagnosedproblemsandrepairs recommended, authorized and completed clearly and accurately.

  5. Conveysestimatedcostsandcompletiontimesatthepointofsaleandclearlycommunicates the same to customers and promptly notifies customers of any changes, delays or additional work needed.

  6. Assignsjobstotechniciansbasedonskilllevelandcurrentresourceutilization andoccasionally assists technicians with light duty service work.

  7. Reviewswork-in-progresstoensurequalityandtimelinessandprovidesdirectiontoaddressissues,seekingmanagement’sassistanceorguidancewhere

  8. Maintainsastrongworkingknowledgeofinventory/productsinorderto determinecorrectpart numbersonrepairordersandassist thepartsdepartmentwithpickingandpostingpartsbefore the job starts and places and reconciles all orders with manufacturer.

  9. Proactivelycommunicateswithmanufacturers/vendorswhenissuesorquestionsarise and keeps management apprised of developments along the way.

  10. Opensandclosesallcustomerpaid,warranty,andinternalrepairordersandensuresall registration and warranty paperwork is timely completed, recorded and submitted.

  11. Identifiesareasforimprovementand/orefficienciesandmakesrecommendations (to management) or changes to implement the same as appropriate.

  12. Periodicallyoperatevehiclesandheavyequipmentsuchas companyvehiclesandforkliftstolift

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  3. Strongadministrativeandcomputerskills experiencewithanabilitytofocusondetailsaswellas ability to stay and help others stay organized.

  4. Mechanictradeschoolcoursesand/or2yearsofmechanicalworkexperience
