General Functions:

The Project Coordinator is responsible for providing coordination, planning, and operational support for CITC's Tribal Case Management curriculum project and related initiatives within the Administration department. This position serves as a key connector between teams, managing project logistics, tracking progress, and ensuring all deliverables are completed accurately, on time, and within scope. Working in partnership with our people, the Project Coordinator helps develop opportunities that fulfill our endless potential by providing administrative, analytical, and operational support that drives organizational excellence. The role requires strong project management abilities, exceptional organizational skills, and the capacity to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder environments.

  • Plan, organize, and implement special projects from conception through completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and established criteria.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, timelines, trackers, and documentation to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure deadlines, quality standards, and deliverables are met according to established criteria.
  • Coordinate all training-related project details, including logistics such as registration, supply ordering, venue securing, and evaluation collection.
  • Organize and schedule project meetings, handle all correspondence, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Maintain clear communication regarding project goals, updates, risks, and changes with all stakeholders and leadership.
  • Prepare status reports, dashboards, and written summaries for leadership review and decision-making.
  • Prepare for and attend grant reporting meetings with the compliance team to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Coordinate filming activities, manage contracts, and provide administrative support for media-related projects.
  • Maintain confidentiality according to all regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform all related duties as needed and assigned.
  • Excellent verbal communication and technical writing skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Proficient with computers, including word processing, email communication, internet research, and spreadsheet applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to understand and communicate pertinent program and department information to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the social, health, educational, training, and cultural needs of the Alaska Native and American Indian community.
  • Continued employment is contingent upon completion of a satisfactory state and federal fingerprint criminal background check.
  • Associate's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Communications, or related field. Relevant experience may substitute for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
  • Two (2) years of experience in project coordination, program support, or administrative roles.
  • Experience working in cross-functional environments and collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to shifting priorities and organizational needs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the social, health, educational, training, and cultural needs of the Alaska Native and American Indian community.
  • Experience working with Alaska Native and American Indian families with knowledge of their values and belief systems.
  • Working knowledge of historical and contemporary social, economic, and cultural dynamics of Alaska Native communities.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM) or equivalent training.
  • Experience with grant reporting and compliance activities.
  • May require prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and consistently working on a computer with repetitive motion.
  • The need to occasionally move around the office to access filing cabinets, storage cabinets, and office equipment may be necessary.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally by utilizing proper lifting techniques and working in a safe manner.
