Temporary Employment and Training Counselor
Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Reports to: ETR Division Administrator – Anchorage
Work Schedule: Full Time – 37.5 hrs. per week

Job Summary: Under the supervision of the ETR Division Administrator and the participant services oversight of the Education and Employment Coordinator, this position will provide employment and training case management, counseling, and guidance in alignment with multiple services administered by the ETR Division. This position will hold a caseload primarily comprised participants enrolled in General Assistance, Adult/Youth Employment, or Employment Support services but may hold additional case load as needed, including AANG Tribal Vocational Rehabilitation cases under the direction of the AANG Program Coordinator. This position will also assist with all other ETR duties including, but not limited to, attending case staffing and clinical supervision, team meetings, and reviewing and approving Energy Assistance applications.
Qualifications:
Required: Candidate will possess a high school diploma or GED and demonstrate a willingness and ability to learn employment and training case management, counseling, and guidance. They must also be open to participating in related training and educational opportunities.
A minimum of two years of experience with an Alaska Native organization, social Services agency, or employment and training organization is required. Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information and documents is essential.
Willing and able to travel to the APIA regional communities when requested. Pass criminal history background/fingerprint clearance. Valid Alaska driver’s license.
