SALARY: Depending on Experience
WORK HOURS: 7.5 hrs/day

DUTIES: Under the direction and supervision of the CHS Director, he/she is responsible for the oversight, implementation, supervision and financial tracking of wellness initiatives; youth health education and prevention programming to include but not limited to; youth, tobacco, cancer, suicide, substance misuse, diabetes, pregnancy and STI’s. Wellness Services Administrator will provide direct supervision to Wellness Program/Project Coordinators (health education/promotion/prevention staff). The Wellness Services Administrator position will support programs that are aimed at reducing negative health outcomes for the beneficiaries (youth and adults) of the APIA region. The position will supervise staff, collect data, provide oversight for grant and program reports and ensure all program services are delivered successfully. Hours of work are 7.5 hours per day, 5 days a week, in-office, in-person.

QUALIFICATIONS: BS/BA degree from an accredited university in a related health or human service field. Bachelor’s Degree in related field; Master’s preferred. Demonstrated interpersonal skills. Demonstrated advanced verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated computer proficiency. Successful performance in developing and managing agency grants/contracts. Knowledge of grant policies and procedures and business accounting principles. Experience with policy development at the local, state and national levels; preferred. Experience working with healthcare professionals, local community structures, government agencies, academic institutions, private organizations, and non-profit corporations. Experience with the development, delivery, and evaluation of educational programs for youth, adults, and/or non-traditional learners. Understanding and knowledge of budget and fiscal procedures. Ability to execute instructions and apply specific guidelines to varied situations, and the ability to effectively express both written and oral information. Experience in working with youth, diverse cultures and familiarity with the Aleutian and Pribilof Islands Region. Willing to take training and attend workshops and meetings periodically to enhance job performance and knowledge. Experience writing grants and proposals; preferred. Willingness and means to travel and have a valid Alaska Driver’s License. Willing to take training and attend workshops and meetings periodically to enhance job performance and knowledge.
