Sr. Accountant

Position Purpose:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for various accounting functions related to AEA projects and owned assets. This position creates financial reports and reviews financial activity of various capital assets and capital projects in progress as directed by the Project Controller. This position assists the Project Controller with monthly and year-end billings to various Utilities as part of owned asset operating agreements. The Senior Accountant processes funding requests to be submitted to the trustee for debt payments and completed project work; and other routine accounting functions for support of the Project Controller.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to: sit, use hands or fingers, handle or feel, and talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Technology, Equipment, Systems, and Tools: Requires basic skills in word processing, database software, email, and general office equipment.

Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or related field and four years of experience in related accounting roles is preferred. Consideration will be given to a combination of coursework in Accounting or Finance and equivalent work experience.
