Summary of Position: FCAC is seeking a committed and passionate organizer to advance our coalition's community-led work in support of a just transition to a democratized, decarbonized, and equitable energy system future. The Energy Democracy Organizer will primarily support the FCAC Renewable Energy Working Group (REWG) with electric utility advocacy efforts, including supporting local utility board candidates and electoral campaigns, as well as represent FCAC in collaborative efforts locally and statewide to further advance a community-led energy transition. The ideal candidate must be highly organized and effective at working in team settings, and preferably will have proven experience in equitable grassroots organizing, energy issues, and volunteer management. This position will work closely with a supportive, passionate, and dynamic team of both staff and volunteer members from FCAC and partner organizations.
