JOB POSTING: CARPENTER/LABORER (Pad Builder)
LOCATION: Johnson Tract Project, 120 miles SW of Anchorage. Remote fly-in camp.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
• Assist with the building and reclamation of drill and helicopter platforms
• Work closely with a helicopter. Send and receive external sling loads
• Provide camp support. Carpentry and general Labor
• Use a gas-powered core saw to cut, move, and prepare core samples for shipments
EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
• Mountain hazard awareness and risk assessment skills, comfortable in the mountains
• Strong foundation in residential or commercial construction
• Previous experience working in and around helicopters
• Ability to lift and carry 35-50 Lbs. repetitively
• Self-Motivated with good attention to detailed procedures and safety protocols
• Experience with chainsaws, power tools, and/or welding
MINIMUM AGE: 18
RATE: $250–$350 per day, depending on experience
HOURS AND TERM Generally, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, early July to mid-October.
